Landscape and Planting: Raised Beds, Pergolas, Trees and Grass
Shape the garden: landscape blocks for raised beds, planters and steps, pergolas over a terrace, trees and bushes by species, and grass lawns.
The Landscape tools
**Landscape block** (`LANDSCAPE`, `LB`): click each corner of a terrace, bed or step; press Enter to finish.
**Pergola** (`PERGOLA`, `PG`): pick a pergola from the presets; the next click stands it.
**Tree** (`TREE`, `PLANT`): one click plants the species armed in the properties panel.
**Grass** (`GRASS`, `GR`): click the corners of a lawn and close it. Grass is drawn in the model, so the tool switches to 3D.
Landscape blocks
A block is a solid raised from the outline you drew: a raised bed, a planter, a plinth, a low wall or a step.
Its height and its base level are in its panel, with a material each for its sides, its top and its bottom. Its edges can be curved.
Pergolas
A pergola is designed in its panel: its design, its size, its posts and beams, and its roof, and turned with its rotation.
It stands on the floor of the storey it is placed on, so one on a roof terrace stands on the terrace.
Trees and grass
**Species**: pick a tree or a bush from the library in its panel before you plant. Its height, how much heights vary and its shape are there too.
**Seed**: a new seed grows a new tree of the same species, so a row of trees does not look copied.
**Elevation**: a tree stands on the ground where you click, on a slope too.
**Grass**: a lawn is drawn on the ground, in the model.
Indoor plants and pots are with the furniture. See [Furniture and kitchens](/docs/furniture-and-kitchens).
