About Home 3D Plan: A Free, Community-Built Home Planner

Home 3D Plan is a free, in-browser 2D and 3D home planner built by and for a community of homeowners, renters, designers, and architects. No sign-up, and no paywalled features.

Home 3D Plan is a community-first home planner. Architects, interior designers, builders, and the people who actually live in the spaces share one canvas: drawing walls, dropping furniture, walking through rooms in 3D, and trading ideas, all without a license or a login.

It is free today, every design tool is available to everyone at no cost, and we do not paywall features. We keep it running through optional partnerships and community contributions, not by limiting what you can plan, share, or export.

Free to use, and how we stay that way

The Service is free today and every design feature is available to everyone. We do not paywall the editor behind a premium tier or charge per month, per project, or per export. Plan unlimited rooms and floors, place unlimited furniture, save unlimited projects, upload textures, walk through your designs in 3D, snapshot the lit scene to unlimited photo renders (PNG), and share a live read-only or editable link. There are no watermarks and no export caps.

No sign-up is required to use the planner. A free account adds account conveniences such as cloud saves, sharing, and a personal texture library; it does not unlock any design or editing tools. We keep all of this free through optional brand partnerships that add catalogue content and through community contributions, supported by an efficient stack that keeps our infrastructure costs low.

Who it is for

Home 3D Plan fits homeowners renovating or refurnishing, and renters laying out a new apartment before move-in. Interior designers use it to take a client from a rough idea to a 3D walkthrough, while architects and building designers check spatial ideas, opening positions, daylight, and circulation quickly. It also serves real-estate agents and stagers, design students learning floor-plan fundamentals, and builders walking customers through a project.

What you can do

Draw walls on a snapping grid in metres or feet, then add doors and windows that snap into wall apertures with editable swing, sill height, and reveal depth. Place furniture from a real-scale residential catalogue and resize each piece, and apply materials from a built-in texture library or upload your own, folder-organised and synced across devices.

Switch between a clean 2D plan and a walk-through 3D scene driven by the same data. Snapshot the lit scene to a photo render (PNG) in one click, unlimited and watermark-free, or share a read-only or editable live link that opens in any browser without an account.

Privacy, sign-in, and your data

You do not need to sign in to use the planner. Anonymous use is fully featured, with projects living in your browser (they disappear if you clear your browser data). A free account adds account conveniences: cloud saves, multi-device access, sharing, and a personal texture library. It does not unlock any design or editing features. Sign-in is Google only for now.

We store the minimum: your email, display name, saved projects, and uploaded textures. We do not sell user data, run third-party ad trackers, or feed user content to LLM training.

Frequently asked questions

Is Home 3D Plan really free?

Yes. Every design feature is available to every user today, with no paid tier, no per-export charge, no watermark, and no usage credits.

Will Home 3D Plan ever add a paid plan?

It is free today with no paywalled features. If we ever introduce paid plans, we will show the fees clearly before any charge, and we will not lock features you already use behind a paywall. Our commitment is to keep the planner unpaywalled.

Do I have to create an account?

No. Anonymous use is fully featured. An account adds account conveniences (cloud saves, sharing, multi-device access, and a personal texture library) and does not unlock any design or editing features.

Are exports watermark-free?

Yes. Photo renders (one-click PNG snapshots of the lit 3D scene) have no watermark, no logo, and no resolution cap, and there are no render credits or caps.

How is it funded if it is free?

Through optional brand partnerships that add catalogue content, plus community contributions. Partnerships add catalogue content rather than gating features, and we are community-funded rather than venture-funded.

Who builds it?

A small core team plus the community, working together through in-editor feedback and community contributions.

Who is it for?

Interior designers, DIY homeowners, renters, architects and building designers, real-estate agents and stagers, builders, and design students.

Yes. Home 3D Plan runs in your browser at no cost, with no sign-up requirement and no paywalled features. The PWA install is also free.

Can I export my plans?
