Grass
Draw the outline of a lawn and it is grown tuft by tuft inside it, at the density, height and variance you set, so the garden reads as a garden in 3D and in a render.
Every property, and what it does
Select a lawn and these are its rows.
Grass
How thick and tall the lawn grows.
| Field | What it does | Values |
|---|---|---|
| Density | How many tufts grow in each square metre. | 2 to 80 |
| Height | How tall the grass grows. | 0.05 to 1.5 m |
| Height variance | How much the height varies from tuft to tuft. | 0 to 1 |
How the Grass tool works
Open the Grass tool
In the editor, open Landscape and choose Grass, or type GRASS (GR).
Draw the lawn
Click each corner of the lawn and close it.
Set its growth
Set the density, height and variance; the lawn regrows to them.
Grass questions, answered.
Is the grass 3D?
Yes. Each lawn is grown as tufts across its outline, at the density and height you set.
Can the grass be long?
Yes. Height runs up to 1.5 m, with variance so it is not a flat carpet.
