Roads and Drives
Draw a road as its centreline and it is built to its cross section: the carriageway, kerbs, verges and footways of a driveway, a footpath, a street or an access road, laid on the ground at the levels you draw.
Four road types
Each a cross section the road is built to. Switch between them in the bar above.

Driveway
A 3 m carriageway a car can cross onto, no kerbs, no footway.

Footpath
A 1.2 m path.

Street
Two lanes on 5.5 m, 125 mm kerbs, a verge and a footway each side.

Access road
One 4.5 m carriageway, a kerb and a footway on one side.
Every property, and what it does
Select a road and these are its rows.

How the Road tool works
Open the Road tool
In the editor, open Site and choose Road or drive, or type ROAD (DRIVE).
Pick its type
Pick a driveway, footpath, street or access road in the panel.
Draw its centreline
Click along the centreline; the road is built to its cross section on either side.
Junctions
Where two roads meet, the junction is worked out for you.
Road questions, answered.
Which road types are there?
Driveway, footpath, street and access road, each with its own carriageway, kerbs, verges and footways.
Do roads follow the ground?
A road is laid on the site at the levels of its drawn points, with a straight grade between them.
What happens where roads meet?
The junction is built where they cross or meet.
