home3dplan MCP Changelog
What changed in the home3dplan MCP server and its tools, by date: new tools, changed inputs, limits and plans.
Newest first. A change to a tool’s inputs is listed here before it ships, and the tool’s page is updated with it.
2026-10-06: exports on our own links, with the Exports panel’s settings
**Links**: a file from export_file now downloads from `mcp.home3dplan.com/files/...` with its real name, instead of Google’s storage host under a content id. The structured answer keeps the storage link as `storageUrl`.
**pdf-plan**: new inputs `scale` (fit, or the plot denominator such as 50 for 1:50) and `style` (monochrome, the default as in the editor, or plan for the plan style’s colours). `monochrome` keeps working until 2026-11-06; `style` wins when both are given.
**pdf-detail-set**: a new kind, the editor’s A4 detail set, with `orientation`.
**dwg**: a `release` input (R2000 to R2018), defaulting to the drawing’s own choice.
**place_furniture**: a piece now lands with the editor’s own axes and seats on the floor finish under it. Before this, a sofa two metres wide could land two metres deep.
2026-10-06: first release
**Tools**: 24 of them, in five groups: projects, the building, furniture with site and services, files with checks, and deep research. See [all tools](/mcp/tools).
**Sign-in**: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE, dynamic client registration for Claude and client ID metadata documents for ChatGPT, a consent page with the scopes, refresh tokens that rotate, and revocation from the profile page.
**Imports**: DXF, DWG and SVG through import_drawing, and walls_from_lines to turn drawn lines into walls, both also in the editor under Settings, Imports.
**Plans**: open to every account during the preview, with the free plan’s allowance of three thousand changes a month. Export through export_file will need a paid plan when plans are enforced; the date will be here first.
How a change reaches you
An assistant reads the server’s tool list when it connects and again as it works, so a new tool or a changed input is there without you doing anything. The tool pages here are built from that same list.
A change that would break what an assistant already does (an input renamed or removed) is announced here first, and the old form keeps working for a month after the new one ships.
