Add site elements (add_site_elements): a home3dplan MCP tool
add_site_elements: Fences (polylines; glass balustrades with infill "glass"), landscape blocks (closed outlines extruded from baseY by height: decks, planters, plinths, steps, seats), plants (presets such as "Royal Palm", "Coconut Palm", "Bush 2", "Oak") and paved areas, all in scene metre.
`add_site_elements` is one of the 24 tools the home3dplan MCP server offers an assistant. Connect [Claude](/mcp/claude), [Claude Code](/mcp/claude-code) or [ChatGPT](/mcp/chatgpt) and it is available in the conversation.
What it does
Fences (polylines; glass balustrades with infill "glass"), landscape blocks (closed outlines extruded from baseY by height: decks, planters, plinths, steps, seats), plants (presets such as "Royal Palm", "Coconut Palm", "Bush 2", "Oak") and paved areas, all in scene metres (y of a point is scene z).
A write. It saves one revision of the project, which appears in the open editor at once and can be undone there. Scope: **projects:write**.
Inputs
**projectId** (string, required): See the tool’s description.
**fences** (({ points: ({ x: number, y: number })[], height?: number, elevation?: number, infill?: none | vertical-slat | picket | horizontal-board | board-on-board | louver | cable | baluster | glass | mesh | lattice | trellis | solid, finish?: string })[]): See the tool’s description.
**blocks** (({ points: any[], baseY?: number, height?: number, sides?: string, top?: string })[]): See the tool’s description.
**plants** (({ preset: string, x: number, z: number, scale?: number, elevation?: number })[]): See the tool’s description.
**paved** (({ points: any[], parking?: boolean })[]): See the tool’s description.
What comes back
What changed, in words and in a structured form, and the link that opens the project in the editor on the right storey and view.
Tip: if the project changed in the editor between two calls, the write is refused as a conflict and the assistant opens the project again. Nothing is overwritten.
Ask for it like this
"Add a fence along the north boundary and three trees beside the drive."
The assistant chooses the tool and fills its inputs from what you said; you do not name the tool or type its inputs.
