Connect ChatGPT to home3dplan: Design Homes with a Connector
Create a home3dplan connector in ChatGPT, sign in with your home3dplan account, and ask it to draw, furnish, check and export your projects, or to research across them.
ChatGPT connects to remote MCP servers as connectors. home3dplan supports the sign-in ChatGPT uses (OAuth with a client ID metadata document), so no keys are pasted anywhere.
Create the connector
1. In ChatGPT, open **Settings**, then **Connectors**, then **Advanced**, and turn on **Developer mode** if it is off.
2. Back in Connectors, press **Create**.
3. Name it home3dplan, paste the server address `https://mcp.home3dplan.com/mcp`, and choose **OAuth** for authentication. Leave the client fields empty.
4. Press **Create**, then **Connect**. ChatGPT opens the home3dplan sign-in page.
5. Sign in and press **Allow**. You are back in ChatGPT with the connector ready.
Tip: custom connectors are part of ChatGPT’s developer mode, which its paid plans offer. In a workspace an admin may need to enable it.
Use it
1. In a conversation, open the tools menu, pick **Developer mode** and turn on home3dplan.
2. Ask in your own words: "Create a project called Garden studio, draw a 6 by 4 metre room with a door and two windows, and give me the link."
3. ChatGPT asks you to confirm each tool that changes the project; reads run without asking.
4. In deep research, the server’s search and fetch tools let ChatGPT look across your projects and the documentation.
Disconnect
Delete the connector in ChatGPT’s settings, or revoke it under **Connected assistants** on your home3dplan profile.
