What Lands Design does that Home 3D Plan does not

  • The free form modelling of Rhino for unusual site shapes.
  • A large plant library with growth over time.
  • Grasshopper for parametric landscape design.

Moving from Lands Design

Export the Rhino site plan as DWG or DXF and open it here; place the spot levels on the plot.

Send the site and house out as DWG, PDF and IFC4.

Which one fits your work

Pick Lands Design when

  • You already work in Rhino and Grasshopper.
  • Your sites need free form modelling.
  • You show planting growing over the years.

Pick Home 3D Plan when

  • You want landscape design without buying and learning Rhino.
  • You design the house and the garden together.
  • You work in a browser, on a tablet as well.

How to start

  1. Open the editor

Go to home3dplan.com and open the editor. Nothing to install and no account needed to start.

  2. Bring your drawing

Open a DWG or DXF and turn its lines into walls, or trace over a PDF or a scan set to scale.

  3. Build the model

Draw walls and the storeys, rooms, slabs and 3D model follow. Add roofs, structure, services and the site.

  4. Send it out

Print sections, elevations and sheets to PDF or DWG, and send the building out as IFC4.
