How the Indoor plants tool works
Open Indoor plants
In the editor, open Furnish and choose Indoor plants, or type HOUSEPLANT (HP). The presets open.
Set it down
Pick a plant, then click where it goes: on the floor, or on a table or shelf.
Choose the species
Its panel swaps the species for any of 43, in five groups from statement plants to succulents, and sizes it to what that species grows to.
Shape the plant and pot
Change how it leans and how its leaves hang, then the pot, saucer, stand and top dressing.
Plant questions, answered.
Which plants are there?
43 species in five groups: statement plants such as monstera and fiddle leaf fig, table plants such as peace lily and calathea, trailing plants such as pothos and string of hearts, palms and ferns, and succulents and cacti.
Do two plants of the same species look the same?
No. Variation grows each plant differently, and lean, leaf size, droop, curl and twist change its habit.
Is the size realistic?
Yes. Height is held to what the species grows to indoors, and the pot's trade size follows the height.
Can a plant hang or sit on a shelf?
Yes. Pots can hang from the ceiling or a hook, stand on a plant stand, or sit on a table or shelf.
