Connect Claude Code to home3dplan: Build Projects from the Terminal
One command adds the home3dplan MCP server to Claude Code. Sign in from the session and ask it to draw, furnish, check and export your projects.
Claude Code adds remote MCP servers from the command line and signs you in from the session.
Add the server
1. In a terminal, run: `claude mcp add --transport http home3dplan https://mcp.home3dplan.com/mcp`
2. Start Claude Code and type `/mcp`. Pick home3dplan and choose to authenticate. Your browser opens the home3dplan sign-in page.
3. Sign in and press **Allow**. Back in the terminal, the server shows as connected.
Tip: add `--scope user` to the first command to have the server in every project folder, or leave it off to keep it to the current one.
Use it
1. Ask in your own words, as you would in Claude: "List my home3dplan projects, open the newest and check it for problems."
2. Claude Code asks before each tool call unless you allow the tool for the session.
3. The answers carry the editor links; open one in the browser to look at what was drawn.
Tip: a DXF or SVG on disk can be imported: "Import plan.dxf into my project Barn and turn its wall lines into walls." Claude Code reads the file and sends it with import_drawing.
Remove it
Run `claude mcp remove home3dplan`, or revoke the connection under **Connected assistants** on your profile.
