Connect Claude to home3dplan: Design a House in a Conversation
Add home3dplan as a custom connector in Claude on the web or in the desktop app, sign in once, and ask Claude to draw, furnish, check and export your projects.
Claude connects to remote MCP servers through its connectors. home3dplan is one; you add it once and it is in every conversation you turn it on for.
Add the connector
1. In Claude, open **Settings**, then **Connectors**.
2. Press **Add custom connector**.
3. Name it home3dplan and paste the server address: `https://mcp.home3dplan.com/mcp`. Leave the advanced fields empty; the server registers the client itself.
4. Press **Add**, then **Connect**. Claude opens the home3dplan sign-in page.
5. Sign in with your home3dplan account and press **Allow**. You are back in Claude, and the connector shows as connected.
Tip: custom connectors are offered on Claude’s plans for individuals and teams; if your plan does not show them, [Claude Code](/mcp/claude-code) connects from the terminal.
Use it
1. In a new conversation, make sure the home3dplan connector is on (the tools menu under the message box).
2. Ask in your own words: "Open my project Stone house and add a first floor with three bedrooms." Claude calls open_project, set_storeys, draw_walls and name_rooms, and tells you what it did.
3. Each change that writes to the project asks for your approval the first time, as Claude does for every connector; you can allow the tool for the conversation.
4. When it is done, ask for the link. Claude answers with the editor address of the project, on the storey and view it worked on. Open it to look, render and continue.
Tip: Claude works best when it reads before it draws. "Open the project first" costs one call and saves many.
Disconnect
Remove the connector in Claude’s settings, or revoke it under **Connected assistants** on your home3dplan profile. Either ends its access; the profile does it within a minute even if the assistant still lists the connector.
