Furniture and Kitchens: The Catalogue, Custom Furniture and Fitted Kitchens

The Furniture tools

**Furniture** (`FURNITURE`, `FU`): opens the catalogue; the next click places what you pick. A card can also be dragged onto the plan.

**Sofas** (`SOFA`, `SF`) and **Armchairs** (`ARMCHAIR`, `AC`): sofas and armchairs you size and style.

**Custom furniture** (`CUSTOM`, `CF`): wardrobes, shelving, cabinets, beds, desks, tables, chairs, stools and benches you design here.

**Kitchen** (`KITCHEN`, `KI`): pick a layout, then click the wall it runs along.

**Pots and vases** (`POTTERY`, `POT`) and **Indoor plants** (`HOUSEPLANT`, `HP`).

Placing pieces

**Against walls**: a piece put down near a wall turns to face away from it and seats against it.

**On other pieces**: a pot put on a table stands on the table's top.

**In both views**: pieces are placed, moved and turned in the plan or in 3D, and a placement in one is the same in the other.

**Properties**: position, rotation and size, and a material for each part. Palettes in the tool rail hold materials you can drop onto parts.

**On the plan**: Settings › Editor › **Pieces drawn as** shows them as a real item (a picture of the piece from above), a symbol, or an outline.

Your own models

The upload button in the catalogue takes your own .glb or .obj models, up to 25 MB each. They join the catalogue and are kept with your account.

Fitted kitchens

**Layouts**: single wall, galley, galley with a tall bank, L shape, L shape with island, single wall with island, peninsula, U shape.

**Runs and units**: each run is a row of units: cupboards, drawers, corners, a sink, a hob, an oven housing, appliances, open shelves, fillers or empty space. Insert, remove or move a unit along its run.

**Style**: door and drawer fronts, handles, the carcass, and the finish of each.

**Worktop**: its thickness, overhang and upstand. An island has its own worktop, overhang and stools.

**Checks**: the kitchen is read against the published kitchen planning rules as you change it: landing space beside the hob and sink, aisle widths, the work triangle.

Custom furniture

A custom piece is made from its numbers, not from a fixed model: change its width and the doors, shelves and panels are worked out again.

Its parts each take a material of their own, and the piece is placed and seated like any other.
